This week at Photon: we shipped Spectrum 1.6 with a redesigned SDK built specifically for agent infra, updated the prize pool for builders on Photon, opened more spots for our SF + NYC + Shanghai hackathons, and announced our Seattle debut at AWS.

Spectrum 1.6 Launch

Most agent SDKs are still SDKs for human infra. After building thousands of agents with Spectrum, we rebuilt it from the ground up for how agents actually work.

• Install with npm install spectrum-ts

• Two top-level I/O primitives: messages and send. Request in, response out.

• Edits, reactions, typing, text messaging, attachments: all content the agent chooses to return via JSON schema
