This week at Photon: we open-sourced Astrolabe, our declarative macOS configuration framework, shipped DoorDash ordering from iMessage through AgentCard, hosted our first consumer founder dinner in NYC, and threw a GTM wine night in SF with top creators.

Astrolabe: Managing Mac Fleets at Scale

We open-sourced Astrolabe, our open-source, declarative macOS configuration framework built in Swift.

• Declare packages, LaunchDaemons, and system settings with a SwiftUI-like syntax. Astrolabe keeps every Mac in that state continuously

• Runs as a root LaunchDaemon and corrects drift automatically, no periodic audits or shell scripts needed

• Open source under MIT, requires macOS 15+ and Swift 6.2+
