We upgraded our iMessage adapter for the Vercel Chat SDK. It's now the most feature-rich and reliable iMessage API for Vercel, and it's free for individuals and small teams.

• Full native iMessage: tapbacks, message effects, editing, unsend, typing indicators, and voice messages

• Mini-app cards, polls, chat background customization, and iOS 26 features

• First-class webhooks on Spectrum Cloud, HMAC-verified, no cron jobs or persistent connections

Feature Updates

Major Stability Upgrade to the Shared iMessage Routing

Our free iMessage API crossed 10M+ messages processed per day this month. We heard the feedback about disconnects and dropped messages, so we rebuilt major parts of the backend for reliability.

• Migrated from Bun to Node to eliminate silent gRPC drops and unlock distributed tracing

• Added multiple replicas and fixed OOM issues from async workloads

• Rebuilt inbound delivery with a fan-in / fan-out architecture, using the database as the source of truth
