# Prohibited and restricted content for 10DLC

> Check which message content and business types carriers reject on US 10DLC numbers before you register a campaign.

US carriers don't allow some kinds of content on 10DLC numbers, whatever the
law in your state allows. A campaign with this content is rejected, often with
a code from 701 to 709. Messages with this content can also be blocked after
the campaign is approved.

Check this list before you register a campaign. If you think a campaign was
rejected by mistake, contact Photon support.

| Firearms (702) | Guns, ammunition, and accessories. |
| Sexual content (703) | Adult content or services. |
| Gambling (704) | Casinos, sports betting, lotteries, and betting tips. |
| Hate (705) | Hate speech, harassment, and profanity. |
| Tobacco and vaping (707) | Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping products. |
| Lead generation (708) | Collecting contacts to sell or share them, affiliate marketing, and SEO or link-building outreach. |
| High-risk financial services (709) | Payday and same-day loans, merchant cash advances, debt collection, debt relief, credit repair, crypto, and stock-trading signals. |
| Illegal products | Prescription drugs without authorization, and products that are not legal to sell. |
| Deceptive content | Phishing, impersonation, and offers of "guaranteed" returns. |

## Allowed with restrictions

* **Alcohol (706):** some carriers allow it with age verification on the
  website and in the opt-in. Contact Photon support before you register.
* **Direct lending (712):** a direct lender must say so in the registration.

* **Political and charity messages:** the consent text must say whether
  donations will be solicited. See

## Messages for other businesses

Each business that sends messages needs its own brand and campaign. Don't send
another business's messages through your campaign. See

## Links in messages

* Don't use public link shorteners such as bit.ly or TinyURL. Carriers often
  block them. Use your own domain, or a short domain that belongs to your brand.
* Every link must open without a sign-in and must match the campaign's use
  cases.
