> ## Agent Instructions
> Use Stable documentation by default. Honor an explicit Beta request or a URL under /docs/beta/. If the requested version conflicts with the installed CLI package or API origin, clarify the target before writing integration code.
> Pages under /docs/beta/ document Beta; other product pages document Stable. Keep the CLI package, commands, API origin, and credentials within the selected version. State the documentation version in your answer.
> For MCP search, always pass version: Stable or version: Beta. Unfiltered search mixes both versions. For filesystem reads, keep Beta queries under /beta/ and exclude /beta/ from Stable queries; discover paths before reading them.
> The public docs base is https://photon.codes/docs. Convert MCP page paths to public URLs under that base, preserving /beta/ when present. Read https://photon.codes/docs/skill.md for version selection and https://photon.codes/docs/llms.txt for the version indexes.

# 10DLC brand verification

> Register a 10DLC brand whose details carriers can verify, and fix the details they flag.

Before a campaign is reviewed, carriers verify the brand: the business or
person that sends the messages. If they can't verify it, the brand page lists
the details they flagged.

## Fix flagged brand details

**1. Open the brand**

Open **Organization settings**. Under **Compliance**, select **10DLC
registration**. In **Brands**, select the brand.

**2. Correct the flagged details**

Under **Fix and resubmit**, each flagged detail shows what carriers found.
Change the details, and then resubmit. Resubmitting a brand is free.

## Common brand findings

| The finding says | What to do |
| - | - |
| Mobile Phone Number not supported. Must be a Mobile Phone Number that can receive SMS messages. | Enter a mobile number on a carrier plan that receives texts. Landlines, VoIP numbers, and virtual numbers are not accepted. |
| Cannot validate mobile phone ID | Enter a mobile number that is registered to you, and check that it receives texts. |
| Street address is not valid | Enter the street address exactly as it is registered, for example as it appears on your IRS records. PO boxes are not accepted. |
| Email address is invalid/undeliverable | Enter an email address that receives mail. A large company must use an address on its own domain. |

## Business brands

Carriers compare a business brand with official records, so enter the
details exactly as they are registered:

* **Legal company name and EIN:** enter them exactly as they appear on the
IRS EIN confirmation letter (form CP 575). On that letter, the first name is
the legal name and the second is the DBA.
* **Address:** use the address from the same letter, written the same way. A
small difference, such as "Street" instead of "St.", can stop verification.
* **Entity type:** choose **For-profit** or **Non-profit** to match the
  registration.
* **Contact email:** a large company must use an email address on its own
domain, not a free email provider (rejection code 713).

Changing the legal name, the EIN, or the entity type sends the brand back for
verification.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Publicly traded companies need an extra email check from The Campaign
> Registry before their campaigns can be reviewed. Contact Photon support
> before you register a publicly traded company.

### Website

Carriers open the brand's website to check that the business is real. The
website must:

* Open without errors and without a sign-in.
* Show the business name, address, phone number, and email address.
* Describe what the business does, for example on an about page.
* Belong to the registered brand. A platform's or reseller's website is not
  accepted for its customer's brand.

A missing, broken, or incomplete website is rejected with code 804 or 807.

## Personal brands

A personal brand registers one person who sends messages without a company
tax ID (a sole proprietor).

* **Verification:** a code is sent by text to the person's phone. Enter the
code on the brand page to verify the brand. The phone must be a mobile
  number that receives texts.
* **One campaign:** a personal brand can have only one campaign.
* **Who qualifies:** if the business has an EIN, or its name contains words
such as LLC, Inc, Ltd, Corp, Company, or LLP, register a business brand
instead. Names with words like Bank, Loan, Insurance, Clinic, Health, Real
Estate, Agency, Church, Club, Group, School, Software, or Marketing also
don't qualify. These brands are rejected with code 801.
* **Address:** use your home or business address. PO boxes are not accepted.

## Brands for other businesses

Register the brand of the business that sends the messages. If you send
messages for your customers, register a brand and a campaign for each
customer. See
[The sender must be the registered brand](https://docs.photon.codes/docs/beta/messaging/sms/10dlc#the-sender-must-be-the-registered-brand).
